Whatever It Is I Think I See...

Becomes a Tootsie Roll To me!!!

Unfortunately, I was very hungry this morning with nothing to eat. The only thing in our office to munch on is Tootsie Rolls. We bought a couple bags of them online once to help fill the candy bowls around here. But, what we didn't know is that the bags were huge and we know have an endless supply of these things.

Karen, my co-worker, continually fills each bowl everyday and hopes to get rid of them. Until today I have managed to not eat any of them. But the result has been me bursting out with the Tootise roll song on occasion. One of the workers here (about my age) will join in with me and we start a duet.

These are the sad states that you get reduced to when you are at work and bored. Yesterday I planned a vacation to Disney World during my birthday. Oh, how much fun that would be!

Famous Friends

So, I am finally taking the time to sit down with all of you and update my blog. I do apologize for the long and annoying break in my blogging life...but too much happened all at once and I just didn't have the time. But, believe me, all of you made it known to me that you wanted more to sink your teeth into.

My question for the day is: What kind of famous friends do you have? I guess the real question here is, have you ever met anyone famous? I know that I have had a few brushes with celebrities...but I want to hear from y'all. To get us started I thought I would give you some inspiration with some pictures of Jacque with the President and Marilyn Monroe. Guess which one is real?

My claims to fame brief and obscure. I had Dusty, from ZZTop at my 8th birthday party. The sad thing is that it was completely lost on me. I was confused as to why everyone wanted the scary-guy-with-the-creepy-beard's autograph. Unfortunately it was later on in my life when I was introduced to the songs of ZZTop and realized what was done for me. The way that all came about was that a long-time friend of the family, Kie, used to fly ZZTop's private jet and invited them to my party to try and impress me.

My other brush with greatness was at work (when I was in high school). I worked at a popular restaurant that was known for its long waits. We were towards the end of the night and a gentleman came in to ask the wait time. He put his hand over mine on the podium and asked nicely the wait. I was writing stuff down and didn't even look up when I blurted out that the wait was currently around an hour to an hour and a half. He said that it was a little long for him and wouldn't wait. As he started to leave I looked up and noticed that I had just turned away Patrick Swayze. Go me!

Now, I want to know who has the connections...who can I bribe into getting us into the cool places? Give me the goods!!!
