Jacque is Coming to Town!

Praise, praise and joy for joy! Jacque, my former college roommate, is coming to town. It seems that her work place (Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church) has found it necessary to send her to Houston on a business trip. She is just that important that they have booked a flight for her, rented her a car, and booked a nice hotel room on my side of town.

I have truly missed my Jacque and cannot wait to see her. Tonight I get to trek to her hotel room and catch up with her on old times. At first we were planning on painting the town red and enjoying ourselves with a nice meal at one of Houston's finest restaurants. But, as luck would have it, my doctor has decided to torture me with an all liquid diet for a month. Therefore we will have no nice dinner together.

Jacque checked in with me before she got ready to leave yesterday and asked if there was anything she could bring me. We both had the same thought at the same time...a middleweight from The Tomato. This is the best stuffed pizza that has ever entered my mouth. It comes from a small local pizza place that is across the street from the UNT campus. It truly makes my mouth water. If only I could eat!!!

But I will see Jacque...and she makes me laugh, so life is good!!
